Good morning from sunny, smokey, hazy and warm Northeast Ohio! Here is what I got done this week! First Up, a Red Caboose 1928 PRR X29 Boxcar kit, painted with Scalecoat II PRR Freight Car Red and lettered with K4 decals. The PRR had thousands of these cars that served through WWII in many services and were substantially rebuilt after the war. Next a Bowser 1958CF Covered Hopper kit, painted with Scalecoat II UP Covered Hopper Gray paint and lettered with Prime Mover decals. An ex-Lackawanna car used to transport sand for various uses inccluding engine blocks at the GM plants in Bufallo. A pair of NKP Bowser RS-3's with a general freight on the Strongsville Club layout. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski
Outstanding all! I cannot and will not pick first place winner. Square hatch covered hopper! (From hot and humid [heat index will be 110 degrees] North Central Alabama.)
From 1970, the Lionel has been taken up and my first N Scale railroad is underway. Track, power packs and locomotive are Arnold Rapido. I still have the locomotive, some of the cars and maybe one of those power packs.
Wow, very similar to the first N Scale layout that I built in 1968. I wish I had a photo of it. All that I have is this track plan that I drew up. Spent many happy times building and operating on it.
Is it wrong that I am looking at the trucks in the foreground instead of the locomotives? Very nice truck's, or 18 wheelers, or... whatever the heck they are, I like them
Ummm... no. Some people like trucks, some people like me, favor trains. Sort of like dog people and cat people. Those two NKP RS-3s sure caught my eye (they even purr a lot!)...
Lehigh & Hudson River 2-8-2 USRA Light Mikado (Broadway Limited) leading express reefers and tank cars full of wine past the Water Tower. (1 of 4) Lehigh & Hudson River: 2-8-2 USRA Light Mikado: Broadway Limited Chateau Martin Wines: 50 FT Express Reefers: MDC/Roundhouse kit
There's a potential for a lot of drunk partying in that train... and there's always someone among them photocopying their bum... Nice train, beautiful Mikado, and lots of great modeling! I have one of those Château Martin cars, with the "For Goodness Sake..." slogan.
Awesome photos and amazing scenery!! Video for me this time: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/cHZkvW59wW4
