Russell, have always like the BL-2's even though they were homely looking, nice picture! Managed to get some cars done this week to represent some Southeast Railroads. Branchline 1937 AAR Boxcar Kit, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Champ Decals. IMRC 40' PS1 Boxcar Kit, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Mask Island Decals. This was a repaint done by the Southern Railway after taking over the S&A Railroad. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski
This week I am showing a couple covered hoppers.. I have 3 of the CHVX cars, I wanted to make them each different, so the task was to find weathering that was distinct for each.. The CSX car was a bit easier.
I don't think the B&M made it Downeast (using the common definition that Downeast consists of Washington and Hancock counties). Charlie
Sure looks like a re-purposed Peter Witt car, possibly from the Bridgeport Street Railway Co.? Coleman's I remember, but Whistle????? Beautiful and exquisitely detailed as usual, Candy.
Nah, that's not possible, this sweet innocent girl couldn't be the young Miss Streeter training for her "sermon" signature?
Yeah, I guess the Boston & Maine only made it as far as Portland and no further up the coast. When I lived in New Hampshire, the locals incorrectly referred to everything across the state line to the east as "Down East". Little did they know. At our house in Milford, NH we had a B&M freight line right across the street (Highway 101) that went as far a Hillsboro at one time. They usually had an old Alco for power as I don't ever remember a BL-2 when we lived there.
A friend of mine with a 3D printer was able to print numbers for me to add to the front end the of Grande's VO 660, #67...this is just a test fit. They will be permanently attached later.
