I guess the local that comes out of Sealy and down to Rosenberg inspired this shot.

I will show you some cars I completed this last week!

Branchline Models 50' RBL, painted with Scalecoat II Reefer Yellow and Boxcar Red, lettered with Champ Decals. Although the cars belonged to FGE, they had PRR reporting marks due to Union Rules regarding car repairs.

This bridge section had a sharp curve, so I rebuilt it to a 16" curve. The problem was some of the bridge sections were going to be hard to support , going over the lower track. I used I-beams to support the 40ft bridge sections. I have seen pics of this on the real railroads.

I like that solution for holding up the bridge.

Personally, I think that bridge is wonderful. A long time ago on an Ntrack module I spent much frustrating time bending and placing guard rails, so I can definately appreciate the effort that went into getting that together - well done!

I like that bridge as well.

For this week here's a pic taken last week on my new layout. The track in the lower left is not finished yet. Jim

Eagle I tried doing the guard rails in one piece, a lot of trouble. On curves I cut the rail into 39ft lengths, easy to curve.I put the guard rails in closer to middle of track, because my engines would rub the guard rails.
    Thanks guys.

Yes. Good thinking. I am surprised we don't see this option a bit more often.

Here's a different angle. Some of the real piers have fancy metal work.

SWP celebrates it Century of Service!

This year the Southwestern Pacific turns 100!~ Here are the celebrity units, the 1914 and the 2014. The 2006 is shown to show the SWOOPs standard paint scheme.
I designed the scheme for my friend Bill Schultz, and he painted it and had the decals made.
The SWP serves Colorado, Utah Nevada and California. It serves along with the Rio Grande, SP and UP. There are a couple of short lines that it connects with, like the Deer Creek and the Turtle creek.
Does anyone else have a private road that celebrates like this?
