Great pictures, Hemi. I used to stay in Harrah's in Sparks. I would just walk across from the hotel to take pictures, but i never got to the side where you are standing. I did get a photo of a rotary snow plow once.
Nice photos everyone. No photos from me just yet but I did get round to shooting some video clips of some decoder upgrades to a couple of my steam fleet. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YrF5v2W066k"]YouTube - Sweethome locomotives upgraded[/ame] Will try and post some photos later Jon
I have been working on the Arkansas River scene. I have the base color down. Now I need to add the *water effects* to finish the surface. I also need to install more light, but that seems obvious.
Yep, I knocked a passenger car off. I was just too busy yesterday to retake the shot. I noticed it right off the bat, but just didn't have time.
Danpik: Those hopper are awesome. Good job. I have been working on a Westerfield kit this weekend. I have the brake rigging and "truss rods" applied. I'll try to post a picture later. Of course, this guy is a ways from the paint shop. Good job on the hoppers. I really like the craftsman kits.
John, great looking models! I love it when I hear larger scale modelers say things like that. But it is true, N Scale has come a long way, and continues to improve. I Love this scale!
Well. I have been doing the "brake" thing all weekend on two cars. A B&O box car and this Westerfield C&EI old wooden stake gondola. This is now ready for the airbrush booth. Perhaps next weekend. The "truss rods" have me about ready for cocktail hour tonight. Dang! The trucks are temporary until I can order/find a suitable set of archbar trucks. Another excuse to place an order to somewhere. (snicker)
BN SD45 #6480 Finished detailing and weathering my last Kato SD45. I used an India ink wash, dullcoat and pastel chalks. Since these were at the end of thier BN lives during the period I model I wanted to make it a little more beat up.
THis might be recycle for WPF, but I don't remember for sure. Anyway, Bachmann 2-8-0 with a string of hoppers
Nice looking car. I have never done a Westerfield kit so I don't know how they compare to the F&C kits. I have heard they are pretty well engineered. Anyway, the brake rigging and truss rods lok great. It is nice to see this level on craftsmanship on the forum Dan
You may be getting tired of all of the attention, but this is my favorit loco ....... The KATO was my 45th anniversary gift. Not a bad deal, huh.
Carl, congrats on the 45th. I got lucky a couple years ago when my wife actually followed my favorites list on the internet and was able to aquire a Concor Daylighter for me. This was the first good model train purchase anyone ever made to me, although it did take her 18 years to figure it out. I do hope this was not the first good layout related gift for you. Nice layout and love the loco and cars.
Most enjoyable, Jon. Thanks for posting this. I forwarded the video clip to my model RR club.
Tony, looks like you have a convert there,, the easter bunny sure is eye ball'n that loco.LOL All the pictures looks great,,,,,maybe someday I can show some of mine,, if I get around to build anything. Adios WYT
