I enjoy the scene Candy, such detail and the weathering is great too. I always learn something from your posts.
This is the latest 57' temp control car in service on the QA&P 1004. This makes the fourth car for this service, and Athearn car with detail associates draft gear and some basic brake rigging added below. Have fun MRRing!
As is usual about the only thing I can say is "amazing". I had you pegged as a romantic. About the only other thing I can say is that I am in awe of your talents for being able to see such detail and to be able to convey that into a scene. That is the sign of a true artist. Carl
Yes, Candy, great job. As for Romanticism I've experienced romance in a lot like that a time or two! Jim
With the weather going directly from winter into summer, I never got to see my train room with having to catch up on outdoor projects and mowing 2 acre lawn, but I did get to go to my model railroad club. Here are some photos of some of the scenes on the club layout. Here is a coal mine on the layout. This is of the car shop and fueling facility at the roundhouse. This is one of my very few DCC locomotives that I have. Picked up just to run at the club. A bit of a wimp on the grades but the details are excellent. At the club, we can have a half dozen or more trains running at the same time and the shorter train is the one that has to take the passing siding when a longer train meet. That would be me.
I'm building a motorized Hydraulic Service MOW Truck. (my take a few seconds to load) https://i.imgur.com/epeM32p.gif
There's a lot to like here this week, starting with Russell's ten wheeler. Also, now we know how John achieves that old school color photo effect. Thanks for sharing that, John. Jim's backwoods logging scene is absolutely superb as is JimJ's log car, and Paul has modeled an unusual and impressive load. As usual, Rick has turned out a couple of very nice freight cars and Candy, this week's little vignette of urban decay, abandonment and blight is wonderfully gritty and just plain excellent. Once again, you've outdone yourself. Also very much enjoyed Montanan's club photos. All in all, excellent work by everyone. Myself, I didn't even find time to photograph my newest purchase this weekend. Well, maybe next week.
Great work once more everyone!!! I managed to finish off the control panels on my layout, back to HO projects now instead of the 1:1 panels.
Mike and Rocket Jones thank you very much for the kind words!!! I really like Art-deco / streamline moderne as you can see .
