Russell, thanks for reminding me of the Freedom Train. My version attached along with a patriotic image for Veterans Day. Thanks to all, who served to keep our freedoms, so we can live the way we do today. Too bad that some of the current youth have no idea what it was all about and do not seem to care to know.
Lovin' on the Alcos so far! Carl, I'm impressed by the paint job on the oil rig-looking at the picture, really seems to capture that used steel look.
Not a weekend photo but a weekend video (or three). These are experiments taken this week with the Looxcie video "sled" below. The first is a 1080p hi res video shot on a run over about 1/4 of the top deck of the layout. The second is a 480p med res video showing a run over most of the top deck (about 2/3rd's of it...the final 1/3rd of the top deck is "out" right now while I complete a couple of bridges.) Please note that the first video was cut from the middle of this second one so there is redundant footage between the two. The final video is another med res one this time of an area to the East of the Nelson yard where the GN met the CPR main and turned their train on a funky wye arrangement. I hope you enjoy them. Have a great weekend! md
E-2, thanks, just a simple flat black spray with some weathering. I think the fact that the pic was shot outside in the real sun had more to do with it than my efforts. Carl
