Here is a very unique car put out by Stegid Sredaer. I suppose this car was assigned to a joint operation of the Southern Pacific and the Denver & Rio Grande moving Colorado stock to San Francisco interchanging in Ogden, Utah.
Here's some more progress on the coaling station. The rafters have been weathered and the sheet metal for the roof has been cut to size.
That's a well-used car, Russell. Nicely weathered trucks, too. Jeff, that is coming along nicely. I look forward to seeing your final vision, complete with its setting. In this image, I have recently taken to weathering this Rivarossi Allegheny from the C&O. It is a work still in progress, but the front end is pretty much as I'd like it. So, here is what she looks like coming into Seneca Falls from across the River via the interchange.
Just doing a little roofing work on an old coaling station this week. I want the structure to have the appearance that it was abandoned and hasn't been used for decades. And now the other side. I should have the top done by next weekend.
My mother-in-law was in town the last couple weeks to welcome this little guy into the world: And when I had to take her back to Shelby to board the train, I had to do some Hi-line railfanning! Here's a stack train leaving Cut bank, MT behind illustrating the serpentine curves: Amtrak at 60-plus, east of Cut Bank:
Hemi, Congratulations to you and DCG on your new arrival!:thumbs_up::thumbs_up: A future railfan, I'll bet.
Jeffrey, When I say that coaling tower looks like crap, I mean it in a nice way- it definintely looks abandoned. Nice job on that tin roof:thumbs_up: All the diesel motive power shots look nice, especially the Alcos.
Sort of looks like a "reverse angle" photo referenced in one of the recent N Scale railroading issues. I may try that this weekend.
