Mike, much of your creativity, such as these scenes, reminds me why I chose NOT to retire back to New Hampshire. They're so bleak and cold, beautifully done.
Lyman Jct Yard is as grungy as a yard should look. Now the scenery surrounding the yard needs to be created with a brook and greenery to cheer things up. <gr>
Ken, good suggestion. I hadn't gotten that far in my thinking, but I now have (at least mentally) a brook coming down a rocky hillside into a pool next to and under the tracks at the far right of the yard, which will be supported with a two-bent trestle. The fisher-people, both men and women, will be teaching their pet worms to swim in said pool...makes sense to me.
CNW Fairbanks-Morse switcher 1062 spots a heavily weathered boxcar at Tucker Candy Co. The loco is a South Boulder Modelworks (Shapeways) shell on an Atlas V0-1000 mechanism.
Yes, it's N scale. Here's the link: http://www.shapeways.com/shops/sboulder. Also see the Printing a Fairbanks thread in the N Scale forum.
