Where is the closest Genesee & Wyoming operation in that vicinity? That should be California Northern? Maybe something heading to or moving off from that operation?
All these EMDs running around loose... time for some Alco power! MLW M630 (CP 4563) and C424 (4237) at Exporail museum, June 2013. Those two were in a perfect alignment for this shot. It doesn't matter how many times I go, there's always something different to photograph, in a different way.
Cal northern is the closest, but I'm not aware of them having any GP20s. They are mostly gensets and GP15s now. Sierra has a GP20 that comes up for service every once in a while, but that's still wearing atsf paint. I think some research is in order.

Wow. That NS unit is needing some attention to paint. I can't recall ever seeing a photo of an unwrecked NS engine so badly peeled.
