Cal Northern Genset #500 still in RailAmerica Patriot colors sits on a quite, but cool Sept morning at the Napa Junction yard.

She may still be in these colors, but GWI has been quick to put up their signage.

I wonder how many people even know about the GC&SF? Where is this view? Some sort of historical site/organization display- who?

The stock car is at the George Ranch Historical Park in Richmond, Texas. The car is really an old Mop car but the ranch used to be served by the Gulf Colorado & Santa Fe so they painted it up for that.

From a old slide of mine, via a crappy scanner. Long ago and far away, this was almost thirty years back. The BN local outbound from Weyehaeuser's huge Snoqualmie Falls Mill, on a former Milwaukee Road branch line. Seen here crossing the old highway at Tanner, Washington:

Candy, that's a neat old picture, although I can just hear the OSHA types having heart attacks looking at it!
