Tuesday was my friend Jerry's last day as the full time brakeman on the Bell County Branch, but despite the cold and rain I got his picture with the 1074. He said that he is being moved to a job that works out of Clinton TN and the Middlesboro brakeman job is only going to be on days they need, but with 37 years he hopes he can get the Middlesboro job back.
The last time I saw this place in use, it had multiple RR personnel handing paperwork. There was a compact, busy yard in front, multiple units of motive power idling and past the far end of the depot, stood a wooden RR freight house.
