Man, I have just not been able to get out recently,
so another blast from the Past.

The EMD/Oakway SD60 leasers were a regular staple of the BN of the early 90s. Here they are in the early 00s in Vancouver Wa.

the siding known as 'Snead'...a few miles from my former home in Round Rock; the area now is INCREDIBLY built up!...the 'burbs' have intruded on the once beautiful blackland cornfields here...

I've always kind of like the EMD demo/lease scheme. Nice shot!

I agree - it's a nice, clean and simple scheme. And those SD60s look so loooooonnngg in that photo... they remind me of the SD45X.

I'm wondering if my wife's older brother will stay in Round Rock? He is coming up close to retirement age. Her younger brother has already left.

Is this the same tracks that pass within spitting distance of Dell Corporate Headquarters in Round Rock? I went there once in 2010 for a job interview and happened to catch a train on the way to the famous doughnut shop there whose name I forget.

I used to see TONS of Oakway lease units on BNSF in Minot and Cheyenne. That was back in 2000-2006.
