Don't know if I've posted this one before It's a few years old. Just leaving Roseville and entering Rocklin.
July 2008 at Waynesboro, VA on the former N&W Shenandoah Valley line. That's the former C&O on the bridge above, now the Buckingham Branch Railroad.
A westbound grain load is doubled at Minot in the old GN yard. The second motor looks odd; could it be?? It is! The NS Interstate heritage unit was trailing the leader:
This week's shot is a true rarity- SP 4449 on the CN (ex GTW) main line in Durand, MI on its way to Train Festival 2009. So far as I am aware, this was the only time 4449 has been to Michigan. Durand union station shows in the background. In a few minutes, the crew will back around the wye track and make the last short hop to Owosso.
A lonely GP. I haven't seen it the last few days. Not sure where they are going. And an un-vandalized BN hopper!
