I see we have a new member from the Pacific Northwest. Is that you, Don? Welcome to Trainboard. We need more real steamers here. By the way, is the 700 series of trips sold out? I have been procrastinating, but will get tickets, if available, next week. [IMG]

Hello. Yes, this is Don. The SP&S 700 trip is not sold out at this time. However, the dome class for the Vancouver to Pasco leg is sold out. Parlor and coach are still available. Sales are brisk and we do expect to be sold out by the end of February or first of March. We are looking forward to the trip. Hope to see you on board.

Don, all right! Last night my wife and I convinced neighbors to join us. Will send in the forms tomorrow. Looking forward to riding one of the OPERATING steam locomotives in America. You guys do great work. :D

Don, or anyone else who railfans the NW--How much traffic is there these days on the BNSF between Pasco and Spokane? Would there be too much to allow a photo runby on the 700 excursion?

    Hi Fitz
I do not know how much traffic the BNSF has between Spokane and Pasco. However, we are sending 2 of our members to Pasco and Spokane to view the areas, look for good spots for photo run-bys, etc. One of our members is an Amtrak engineer that runs that area often. He tells us that the traffic is not overly heavy.

    Don
