7312 Back in 2002, I was still holding out hope that the D&H would make a comeback with CP help. As it turned out, the D&H was simply "assimilated" into the CP. At least, thats how it looks to me at this point in history.

I have a small collection of paper items and hardware ( lantern, water cans and the like )....mostly from the D&H, DL&W / EL and Lehigh Valley. I suppose I can photograph this stuff if anyone is interested.

History Channel On September 20 the History Channel witl feature "Modern Marvels: Freight Trains" featuring "D&H"s Bernie O'Brien. Show plays at 10 PM. Bernie began his career on the "D&H" in 1947 at age 19 and retired December 1998. He is 79 years old and still volunteers at Steamtown. Notice he he holding a D&H model!
Modern Marvels "Freight Trains" I hope everyone caught the show.....It was great! Did you see that footage of the D&H Challengers?! It was awesome! Bernie was fantastic. It was good to see a great guy like him get some real recognition. Now thats what I call real good TV! Of course, I video taped it!
I agree. Bernie was interesting and I would love to find out where they got the footage of the Challengers. They could do a whole show with Bernie. Could have had less of Mr EMD Boyd. Too bad they didn't show the NYSW as a contrast to the UP!!!
