Hey, where are all you guys at? I wpuld love to learn more about one of my favorite RR's from some of you. I Live in washington state and was born one year after the pacific extension was abondoned, from what I have seen and know about it they should have been able to give the BN a run for there money! There route could have been faster and had better grade then the GN and NP. Kevin
don't know much about the milwaukee except that the soo line made some nice looking bandits from there old engines. ------------------ ed pinkley home of the pinkley taurus
I saw a pic in a book of a Milwakee/soo bandit SD40-2 in a BN train going over Stevens pass, There was a coment made by the enginer that "that was the smoothest run over these mountains this unit ever had!" I plan on doing a EMD bandit unit for my RR soon. Kevin
I'm a fan in Milwaukee I have seen a few bandits down by the CP yard. ------------------ What's that? A train horn? Sorry, gotta go! [This message has been edited by CPRailfan (edited 23 October 2000).]
Not lately. last one I saw was about four months ago. I haven't been by the CP yards lately though, next time I stop by, I'll be on the lookout! ------------------ What's that? A train horn? Sorry, gotta go!
