This is one of my best photos, from way back in 2004.

Norfolk Southern's (CR) 3422 leans into the curve at Leshville, Perry County, Pennsylvania, at MP 128, in the sweet evening light on 5 October 2004.

    Tripod-mounted Canon 20D and 70-200mm lens, 1/400 second exposure, f7.1, FL 155mm, ISO 100.

    Resized to fit here.

The MU plug on the anticlimber face is pretty interesting, I went on RRpicturearchives for some other shots, and it looks like it only had that mounting for a few years. I don't think I have seen this style of mounting before. I wonder why they didn't just use a deck-mounted plug; it seems like that's what it has today.

I also like the G-type signal. I don't live in G-type territory, so I have only seen a few of them. I think the CSX line to St. Louis through central Illinois still has a few, that's the only time I recently saw one.

I caught NS 23M at Wyomissing JCT, yesterday, 2021/10/14, on the Harrisburg Line behind a pair of AC44C6M's. 62V holds Track 2 waiting for the stacker to clear. DSC09980.JPG
