Weyerhaeuser may sell four short lines, shipping line

    May 30, 2008

Weyerhaeuser Co., a forest products company, is considering the sale of its
four short line railroads, along with its Westwood Shipping Line, which
serves more than 20 ports in Japan, Korea, China and North America. The plan
is part of the company's portfolio restructuring.

Weyerhaeuser owns the DeQueen & Eastern, Columbia & Cowlitz, MSV, and Golden
Triangle railroads. The lines are used to source mills in Arkansas,
Oklahoma, Mississippi, and Washington. Weyerhaeuser has not confirmed a
    timetable for completing this process.

I foresee a trip to southeastern Oklahoma PDQ..............

What ever happened to the TO&E? Did that get rolled into the D&E? Or?

The TO&E is a part of the D&E, so whenever you hear D&E mentioned, rest assured that there is a railroad running from the Oklahoma-Arkansas state line to Valliant, OK. Still quite a few diesels (mostly GP40s and GP40-2s) lettered for TO&E.

Somewhere in my HO collection I have an Atlas/Roco GP40 painted for TO&E- the blue with the red & yellow striping.
