When repeating back, do you spell out such as e-a-s-t, w-e-s-t, etc? Such as "engine 6606 six-six-naught-six"?

Interesting. Spelling out used to be one of the methods employed to prevent errors.

All radio communications with the Dispatcher - no matter if it is the Road Channel or Dispatcher's Channel is continuously recorded - all side of the conversation.

For EC-1's all the appropriate data is displayed on the Dispatcher's CADS console as field personnel repeat the authority 'word for word' the Dispatcher 'clicks' each word of the authority which changes the word from reverse video display to regular video display. Nominally the same kind of procedure that TT&TO Train Dispatchers did when train orders were repeated, by underlining each word in the Train Order Book.
