What is the min radius On30 Spectrum 4-4-0?

I want to add a small loop for a Bachman On30 Spectrum 4-4-0, but I don’t know if it will fit, so what would be the minimum radius?

 

My Spectrum 4-4-0 will make it around a 15" radius..it doesn't much like it, but it will go.

Wow, thanks. I don’t think I have to go that small, but I want to be sure be for I get too far along.

 

I don’t want to put too much stress on it and if it starts to look like its struggling than that’s too small. I don't expect to run it at full throttle either.

Thanks all, I’m still trying to squesse this in and I might have to change the rest of the layout to make it work. I haven’t actually purchased the 4-4-0 yet because I want to be sure that I’ll be able to run it.

Last year I bought a Williams O-scale Amtrak set and I haven’t been able to use it because it will not run on my existing layout and I don’t want that to happen again.

Actually I have or had a Bachmann ON30 Trolley that I was running on my Christmas Village layout and at the time I was thinking of adding a small section for a 4-4-0 up on a third level, but I just couldn’t make it work because the area was so small.

Since then my Trolley broke down and I ripped up all the track because I got tired of fooling with it. Someday I would like to get some trolleys running again, but not until they are more reliable.

 

im good, i am going build my second on30 porter layout (after the dog tor it up ). who makes the trolleys?

 

I have not looked in a real long time so I don't really know, but mine was a Bachmann. I liked it, but it was more work keeping it running than it was worth.

How old is yours? My trolley has to be at least 15 yr old I’m guessing. Maybe they have improved them

 

mines just fine. mine is not old it has dcc too. runs really well and quietly
