This topic has been commenced to showcase locomotives you would like for your layout. Find a prototype photo of the locomotive you would like to model and if you have any questions ask away. Eventually you might come back to this thread and post your completed model or newly purchased model that you were looking for
I am planning on super detailing and painting a TexMex GP7 I built two of these in N scale Now I am in Ho my plan is too build and paint one. Watch this space I have a undecorated GP7 on order Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I'm a NYC fan, so I'd like to get some unique stuff. It would be nice to grab a Niagara or Hudson to pull the 1948 20th Century Limited, but I'd have to be in a club with a big layout to pull that off. If there wasn't a length limitation it would be nice to have a P42DC in phase III paint. Most realistically there might be a GP38-2 joining the layout in the distant future.
Here are. While line up of MP15's and GP15's. I need a couple of switch engines freelanced for the Utah RR. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
I am not sure if I want two in SP colors or two in decorated. Only time will tell. I do have a gp30 undecorated. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
SP Mikado. I have one, nice to have another, but it has to be a Varney 1949 Super Mikado. Double headed, I could pull teeth. Or wall studs.
I started on this once, but it has been languishing in the box as an uncompleted model. May get to it again soon as I have the Stewart AS-16 kit and an Atlas RS-11 Body that will be used for the conversion to an Alco Repowering of the Baldwin AS-16. http://www.rr-fallenflags.org/nkp/nkp320a.jpg Rick J
I would love a few of the soon to be released 1880's Bachmann American 4-4-0's with DCC and Tsunami sound. Never thought a sound loco of this era would ever be available. Rich
Probably got the recordings from golden spike NHS.. They do have the two locos there. Another option would be the old wood burner narrow gauge engine for palisade and eureka owned by someone in Vegas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
Bachmann somehow has stuffed a coreless 7mm x 27.5 mm motor in the boiler. Curious on how much it will be able to pull. Rich
I would still love an Alco C636 although it really would not fit on my layout... One of these NW-5's would be awesome though. Watch this space
I have what I want. Custom painted them over 20 years ago. Here's my herd of Alcos. Some are missing, probably on the hidden staging tracks.
This has me wondering about everything else. MILW? NP? Steam? Must be quite an assortment, when gathered together!
