I am curious if you had to do it all over again and could NOT choose your current scale what would you choose and why? I am an N scaler but IF I had to do it again I would try narrow gauge S scale. Why, I think for narrow gauge S is perfect, though not much commecial stuff available, I like a challenge and the the narrow gauge S scale layouts I have seen in person/print and video have been stunning. It just looked right. Vandy
I'd probably go to G scale being i'm currently in HO so I then could make my whole yard outside a layout. All the trains I could ever want to run would be possible then and be almost realistically real... Real landscapes and so on. perfect for the layout back ground scenery and so on... And makes sence.... [ 23 August 2001: Message edited by: 7600EM_1 ]

If I had the room I would really prefer HO over N scale, but now that I am in N Scale I really like it. I was HO Scale before we switched to N scale do to space confinments. I have lots of HO equipment (hold on, no I don't I sold it ) but I still have a few pieces and I run at an HO layout almost every week (but I haven't been there for 10 weeks). Happy Railroading! Dane
Well as I have Both N and HO (although im getting rid of most my N) I guess I will have to pick a dif one... well as I used to build (until last week) #1 scale locomotives in brass, I would go for that scale and have a nice outdoor layout. I would do the scale 1:32 scale so no G scale or aristo stuff. St Charles Station makes some nice locos and I would proberly build some of my own.... as there is not much rolling stock avalible I would probably have some etched brass ones made (and sell them as well!). but, I am always sticking to HO
