Just a few little things and some PVC pipe (not pictured). Yes, it's for the layout.

    Pretty darn close match.
Perhaps a 1:160 trailer would be about 1/16" narrower and shorter.
If one was not aware of the scale difference... it would just look like a slightly longer and wider trailer.

Great install pictures Mark! What decoder did you use?

I have the Tomix version which I put a decoder in years ago. I think I used a TCS M1 then.

Just ordered a bunch of N scale Unitrack for my next HCD layout! I purchased a bunch of viaduct track pieces and piers to initially set it up and test it, then decide/experiment where/how I want to use terrain vs viaduct to support the elevated sections.

Of course, as soon as it arrives, my wife has to wrap it up and put it under the Tree until Christmas morning.

One of the new pieces to which I'm really looking forward, that I have not used/seen before, is a 19R bridge.

I don't know if there was some subliminal motivation... but this bunch of items I received today seem to be Halloween inspired... orange and brown... hmmm.[IMG]

Those diamond coated bits for the Dremel are NICE!! I bought one set at the local ACE Hardware that was in the $4.99 SPECIAL bin. I found one that works great to clean the cups on the pickups that go in the side frames of locomotive. Just DONT use the Dremel...lol. Just spin it back and forth with your thumb and index finger a few times. It takes that 'gunk' right outta there ! I havent 'buggered' up the brass a bit...and I have been using that bit to clean them cups for 8 years !

    JMO...;)

What is the purpose of these items with respect to DCC expansion?

I just ordered two Micro-Trains cracking tower weathered flatcar 2-packs: UP/SP & C&O. Each has an 80' cracking tower (oil refinery equipment) spanning two ~50' flat cars.

I saw the package for my latest purchase sitting in the quarantine spot yesterday and it is gone this morning. One can only assume it has been confiscated to become a Christmas present. :coffee:o_O

Ha! The "quarantine spot". We had one in the house for a long time at first. It was just on the floor by the front door but we were good about leaving packages and mail there for about 24 hours (we were also wiping down all our groceries for a while there too). We then moved away from doing that when word came out it was a low risk way to transmit the virus. Now that things are really heating up, we may go back to the quarantine spot again just to be safe.

Regarding you package being confiscated to be a present, that's the deal I had to make with the CFO in order to purchase some of the new MT TTX cars on Cyber Monday.

Speaking of quarantine spots, is anyone noticed their packages are staled for days in an off location in some other post office or distribution center?

Not all, but more than what I considered normal a year ago. Nothing critical for me but I feel for folks who count on shipping for prescriptions and other essentials.

    Stay safe
