Had the chance yesterday, to run the 3 unit OMI Turbine I picked up about a month ago. Ran it on club N Scale module corners. Couldn't run it at home, since I don't have curves large enough to handle the turbine! Needs 19" or larger. HCD layout is 16.50 on the loops and 17.25 on interchange track. Next, I can start taking the power units apart again. And prepare to start installing a couple of Digitrax DZ143 decoders into them. I'd either attempt sound, or find someone to do DCC/Sound install in the turbine for me!! At least it runs pretty decent!
I thought you'd had it too, but when I removed the load, the "braces" turned out to be too short to fit crossways in the empty car. I tried a few other configurations, but nothing fit in any obvious way.
Just ordered the Broadway Limited C&O 4 bay hoppers, now have 55--3 and 4 bay C&O, over 1/2 way to 100, to be pulled by my Kato custom painted C&O F7A-B-A units. Oh, by the way no number repeats in those 55. If I can find and get a good price, I may buy some MTL 2 bay for variation.

I bought a More/Lik Models SP 1939 12 car Daylight. (I could use a couple more articulated coach sets). And a couple Kato F7B's. Thanks, Wolf

Bluford hoppers in CB&Q/C&S Chinese Red scheme. Gotta have those in the Rockies. Sent from my SM-G530T using Tapatalk
Went to my 'local' LHS on Tue last and had a good visit with John, the owner, and Wayne, the slave labor. Had to spend a few pennies there, and these cars all just screamed at me to take them away from the store! It helps that a Baby Ruth is one of my favorite candy bars. And now I have enough corrugated roofing to finish a roof on the grain elevator. Had to order a K4s too. Just couldn't help it!!
I just received (after I bought it) in the mail 4 atlas ore cars and 2 cmw buses and some Trucks and couplers
I just ordered this beauty for $182, I've heard mixed reviews but it's a good price and I saw the real thing (http://www.railpictures.net/viewphoto.php?id=556329&nseq=0) over the weekend, so obviously I had to have it. It'll get here in time for the christmas train show we have at the local mall every year, and the biggest N scale layout is now DCC equipped so I'll be doing plenty of runs! Side note...while finding cars to go with it, just for a moment, I pictured how happy I could be modeling the steam era. None of my precious GP35s or other diesels around. Note to self, make it a modern excursion.
Changing my upper deck from single track of flex track to double track kata wooden ties. This is the area between Bellevue and Arcadia on the NKP. Second batch of Kato due the middle of the week. Got 10% off from Fifer due to Black Friday web deal. Great service as well.
