So, what am I doing lately? Not much on the layout. A number of appointments and some good news. Like most senior types we start having aging problems. Eyesight being one of them. The good news is my eyes are healing up. Finally!! I can see to a point, the work I need to do. I've learned techniques that will help me. The wiring has been an ongoing project. A little here, a little there. If you know what I mean. Appreciate the phone calls from good friends and those PM's from new acquaintances. Heck that's a big word and I spelled it write the first time. You caught that? Like someone threw the light switch and the heat of summer came boiling in. It's here. Time to get outside and get some things cleaned up. Summers are short in these neck of the woods. Uhh-err desert. Treasure Valley which is all desert. To stand corrected. They have one of the best irrigation systems but the farmers are selling out to housing developments and business, industrial projects. It won't be long and Boise, Meridian, Nampa and Caldwell will be merged into one metropolis. Just like they did in California. Go figure!! That's it for now. Wish me luck or energy to get'er done. Later!!
Given the choice I’d rather be lucky than energetic so I’ll wish you luck with the outside work. It’s interesting that you live in Treasure Valley because I live on the Treasure Coast of Florida. With all that treasure we should both be rich.
Urban areas gotta grow or die. Staying the same size while flourishing is nigh impossible. And if you go back in time, you'll find countless little settlements, once isolated crossroads, that just got absorbed by the amoeba-like action of expanding cities. "Resistance is futile; you will be assimilated."
GREED is an evil monster! It takes trains and layouts away from nice folks......... It is time for insurrection against the land barons and the squatters!
So far, knock on wood, I still have my layout. We won't think about what the future can bring. Although, I think I have that figured out. Insurrection. I wouldn't stand a chance in a fair fight let alone one that is a coo. Good one Dave.
Not to worry Rick, I can help if you need it! I have a bit of experience for that sort of thing, what type of assistance do you need? I have a full assortment of tools, wire strippers and screwdrivers etc. And several amazing Bourbons!
LOL, without the comma, very useful, with the comma, not so useful but possibly entertaining. How is the wire stripping coming along Rick?
I had a stripper living in the apartment below me. Does that count. No, I'm good on tools and wire. All set in those departments. Thanks for the offer.
Self-adjusting, multi-/single-conductor wire strippers are awesome!!! If you've not tried them, you don't know what you are missing! My favorite brand is K L E I N, but there are multiple good brands that make this same general type of wire stripper.
