The October What’s New is up and running at Winter Valley Regional Railroad - What's New . I hope you all enjoy the little story and maybe even pick up a pointer or two along the way. Perhaps Loree’ will be back home for Christmas. Dave
Beautiful writing, and inspirational as always Dave. You're photographs blend with the story and bring a model to life. I feel as though I'm standing right there in Winter Valley, watching as it happens.
Dave, I always look forward to your stories. Being a short line fan and all. But I love how you transport me from my every day worries to your wonderful world of models. I’m never disappointed, wish I could say that for many of the model railroad magazines I read. Your writing and modeling skills are top notch. Thanks for sharing them with.
Very kind words indeed and thank you. I confess I just set myself, and my 1:1 friends, into my 1/29th scale Seinfeld-ish world to see what happens. True to form - not much. But I really enjoy puting these little skits together every three months or so and perhaps more important, I feel the pressure to get stuff finished down here. How am I going to do "A day at the Beach" if I don't have a beach?
Further to above: I just revisited the DAV&P and I love it. Looks as though you've accomplished in your indoor space all that I'm attempting in mine. Great scenes make a visitor feel as if they're right there in that time. Thanks for sharing Dave
Do the stories come as a result of model railroading? Or do you model railroad, to write the stories? Either way, they're great. That top photo- Looks like the roof of a '55 Chevy? Boxcab E50
