Alex, after a very long drought, I am finally headed out to do some STEAM railfanning. Saturday at Yacolt, WA, the Chelatchie Prairie is operating Crossett-Western 2-8-2T No. 10.. Earlier this week weather forecasts were for NICE on Saturday, now they're saying possibility of rain. Don't care, going anyway. They only run this newly restored steamer once a month. It has been very cold, nice for steam, and now is warming up. We shall see. :teeth:

This weekend we're going out to the NMRA MCR Div. 5 model train show up at Lakeland Comm. College in Kirtland, OH. 3 big gyms full of trains!

Last Saturday, we went out along the Water Level and saw lots of trains. On Sunday, we went down NS' normally busy Cleveland-Pittsburgh line, but didn't see that many trains. While there, we visited the Sebring model RR club and their nice HO layout. After that, we went dragline hunting up in the Youngstown area.

We made some "wav" files of some passing trains and got some pics too! Kind of a last minute thing! We didn't really have plans, it just happened. Might try to do some more today. [IMG]

After the train show today, we went out along the tracks and saw a railgrinder out in Perry, but unfortunately it wasn't grinding. I headed west on track 1 to CP 148, then crossed over to track 2 and then into the Perry siding and tied down.

Meanwhile, we saw quite a few trains, including a NS train with 2 engines and only 5 cars.
