I have been using Tsugawa Yokou N scale wheel cleaners for years. $15. Now, he makes a Z scale one !
You can find it on the massive auction site or most any search site for:

Wheel Polish Cleaner for Z scale motorized trains - Tsugawa Yokou 12508

This is a metalized foam used for EMI Shielding (Radio/electrical noise). It is soft and very non-abrasive, compared to the brass brushes !! **MUCH** more better for the AZL traction tire locomotives !!!

There are 2 versions: With clip leads and without (self wire), which is a few dollars cheaper. But, the clip lead one connects to the same nuts underneath so either will work for fixed installs.

I have slotted the ends and filed rail stock to all direct running on and off.

You can use alcohol or other with it, if you want but don't really need it.

Search the name, using the 'red' ebay link, at top of the page.

I bought one several months ago and it is indeed a very nice gentle cleaner for Z locomotives. I recommend it to all.

I got both the Powered and Non-Powered versions off ebay several months ago. Simply put they Work and work well.
I liked the way they worked so much so that I got a 2nd one a few weeks ago so I could keep one here on the work bench and the other in the box of tools that I take top shows.

Great ! I had not seen the Z versions yet. Asked him last year at an N scale Convention to make a Z version.
