I popped this on the Magazine forum, but I wanna ask it here, too since I didn't get my intended question out properly. I want to run RDCs on the Madison Incline (Whenever I get that built...) in pair, an RDC1 and 3. Question is though, with Loco-inspections, car-insepections, period of use limitations, is a single set adequate, or do I need a second set to swap in in order to get me through weekends March-October plus Holidays and Winter, weather permitting? Repairs can be made through the week, and I plan to have a Rail Rebuild on-line, so nearly anything can be fixed. I HAVE the RDCs enough to do 2 pairs, but if I can get away with painting them into other schemes, I'd like to.
