I haven't seen many large Z layouts. I get it that many guys like being able to model a 2' x 3' in Z to save space but what about those with more space? Sent from my SM-G991U using Tapatalk
Our layout at the Last Great Scale Model Train Show We exceeded our 30' x 40' space by a few feet in both directions.
My modest little modular home layout. Mostly bought, not self built, but circumstances required dramatic action. And I'm not done yet.
That is my West-Texas project, reaching from Ft. Hanckock TZx. to Paisano Pass, near Big Bend National Park.
My biggest layout in Z was Shasta in its long form. Compared to some of the other mega layouts this was just me and 14 foot in 1/220 of the Sacramento river canyon based on Cantara loop, Dunsmuir and Shasta Springs, Designed to fit into a Citroen Berlingo ( I don't know if you had them in the U.S.A). I can run 11 foot long Double stacks and intemodals on it. The layout is doing its retirement tour of the U.K model shows this year but is not going to be scrapped.l Still far too much fun to set up and play trains with when the mood takes me Kev
