I live in Churchville, NY (12 miles west of Rochester) and about 1000' feet from CSX mainline. About 1/2 mile from me is a double-crossover and where the west end of the Westshore line enters back into the main. We see about 40 + trains a day and is a railfans dream! It is the main reason I purchased the home!
I'm from Santa Fe, New Mexico. I've moved to a new house and torn down my old switching layout. I'm starting on a new protolanced layout, 7 x 13 ft. with two decks, dated in early summer of 1969. The whole thing is based on the premise that 1) at the turn of the century the New Mexico Central was run by capable managers, and 2) in the late 60's, ATSF made some better choices than they actually did.
Hi, my name is Chris. I am from Albuquerque, NM but I'm in the Air Force and currently stationed at Scott AFB, Il near St. Louis. I model all things Amtrak, and plan to expand into UP and/or BN one day.
I am originally from Sharon, Pennsylvania which is right on the border with Ohio near Youngstown. In 1955, I moved to south Florida with my parents and have been here since. I currently live in Deerfield Beach, Florida, which is a little Mayberry type town lodged between Ft Lauderdale and Boca Raton. I also still have a house in Boca Raton, where my wife and children currently live. I model steam era western Pennsylvania RR, with a sort of half realistic Bessemer and Lake Erie as well, as many of my relatives have worked on that railline. I am really into N scale with a layout in my living room, and a small Z scale layout in my workroom. I am also building an HO shelf point to point type switching layout in the same workroom. I'm live in Castle Rock, CO. I'm into N Scale and I get to watch and listen to coal trains every day on the joint line from my home office.
I live in Phoenix, Arizona and chase the BNSF along the transcon. Modeling N-scale ATSF in the 1970s.
Born in Minneapolis, grew up in Northfield, MN, going to school in Norman, OK at OU. I'll be moving back to the Twin Cities area in a year when I graduate.
