I have been asking my dad to trace 2 Rio Grange coal hoppers for me. The first is the special paint with the 2 different Rio Grande logos on it. Car number D&RGW 12272. When he went to trace it it did not show up on the car list. It seems like it doesn't exist. Has it been scrapped? He has traced the other. Rio Grande reporting marks with the SP speed lettering. It is Nebraska set out after being over loaded. Any info on where the 2 logo car is would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Ben, I was able to catch that same car this summer. Had to drive like a madman to catch up with it, but I got it. I would like to see the other one as well. It seems to be MIA.
