I've searched and searched and I'm looking for who sells DCC Equipped Locomotives WITHOUT Sound. If I need sound, i'll just go "chugga chugga choo choo" But can anyone send me in the right direction for just DCC Equipped Locos? I really don't wanna go thru the hassle of cracking the case and dropping in anything. Thanks in advance.

Are you looking for a store or a manufacturer? If your'e looking for a manufacturer Bachmann sells a cheaper DCC equipped loco. I can buy them for high $30 to mid $40 range. But remember, cheaper isn't always better, I recommend the Atlas Master Series, these are DCC equipped also but are much nicer running locos. You can usually find them anywhere from mid $80 range and upwards.

    Hello LuckyAndre,
If you don't mind Ebay I would suggest that you try your luck there. That's where I buy 99% of my engines.

You can also look into buying DCC equipped Proto 2000 engines. They are equally as smoth as the Atlas ones but I give them the edge in the pulling department because their locos are usually heavier.

LuckyAndre - Don't know what's available, but try a fellow Trainboard member, Keith, e-mail "service@discountrails". I've had good pricing and terrific service from him. Not totally certain, but think I've bought my last 10 engines or so from him.

    Jeff,

Can you give me a source for the Bachmann DCC locos at that price? I know they are not the best, but since my kids are young (6 and 4) I'd much rather have a few engines that I don't mind being banged up a little bit.

    Thanks,

    J
