Watash (Wayne) checked in on the Cattle Car Forum last weekend. He had been given a weekend pass from the nursing home where he currently, and hopefully temporarily, resides. I think he said he would try to come back online next weekend, if his "Drill Sargent" allowed it.
well i hate to hear that. watash and i talked on the phone quite often. i havent heared from him in over two yers. i know before i borrowed out and lost contact with him, he had said his health wasnt the best.
Hi Markus! Sure glad to hear from you! Markus, Thanks for remembering me! I was afraid you might have fallen under the wheels. Cleatus never did call! Call me at the same old home number: 817-451-3429 on Sat. & Sun, or 817-413-7208 Monday thru Thursday at the Convalescent home. (Phone is by my bed). I can receive incoming calls here, but cannot make long distance calls out. Any of you guys who wish to call me, may use the same numbers. Time passes very slowly when you are in there. Thanks to all who have called, it helps a lot! I only get a home pass, for Saturday and Sunday. If you happen to get the answering machine, be sure to leave your number first, then your name and or a short message, and I'll call you back.
And a warm hello to u Watash! Sorry i lost contact with you for so long. I borrowed out and have been everywhere! I read on trainboard what had happend and you're in my prayers. I hope you get to doing better. We'll the railroad life has really gotton to me over the last few years. I've traveled everywhere and have made alot of friends. I divorced about two years ago. When i hired out they told me the railroad had a high divorce rate and they werent joking! I see it all the time. Im sorry to inform you that Burnis died about 4 months ago with cancer. I really hated that. After all, he's the one that really helped me get the job. I'm leaving to go to engine service at salt lake city utah next week. Gona be one of those "hog heads" everyone talks about! LoL! Well im sure glad to be back Watash, and i'll give you a call soon!
