So, I'm working on making signs for my N scale layout. TrainBoard.com - View Single Post - N scale The back of the signs are foil, metal tape. And I'm using guitar string wire for the pole. Originally I used plain 'ol CA to glue them, but it doesn't seem to hold. After it sets, the slightest jarring makes the sign go flyin'.. I'm guessing it's the smoothness of metal to metal? Any tips? or should I just use epoxy?
Epoxy would be the best choice in my estimation. If you could roughen up the metal surfaces somehow, that would be best. Another option might be to prime the surfaces first with an appropriate primer paint, but I would try to etch/score the metals first and simply use epoxy.
