A co-worker took these photos, and I'm curious who built this engine, and where it was constructed? Is it a Russian engine?
The engine is stuffed & mounted in Oregon.

    European Engine

While I'm not 100% positive the engine might be the Finnish locomotive that was in Oaks Park along with SP&S 700 SP 4440 & UP 3208.
The Finnish locomotive was moved to Junction City a couple of years before SP 4449 was restored. Just a possibility.

Found this on a google search: "Tammerfors Linne Jern Manufakt"

BRASS LOCOMOTIVE WORKSPLATE: “TAMPEREEN KONEPAJA Mekaniska Verkstaden Tammerfors Linne & Jern Manufakt AB № 366 1926” as carried by the 5ft gauge Finland State Railways [VR] 4-6-0 № 746 of class Hv4 [originally class H7] for light axle load duties. Oval, 11” x 8” the front cleaned, repainted and lightly polished, the back in ex-loco condition.

Perhaps Oregonians have a "wider" view of things....I don't believe I just said that. :tb-shocked:

It's a neat looking engine, almost like something built as an Erector Set, a live steam toy...?

Wider view or not we Oregonians have our moments. I remember one summer night after hours at Oaks Park in Portland in about 1966. My girl friend and I spent a wonderful 10 minutes in the cab of this loco!! Those were the days. Forgive me, but I couldn't help sharing when I saw this picture. LOL Cheers, Jim CCRR
