For those of you under 30 and/or musically illiterate: CCR= Creedance Clearwater Revival-Flannel shirts for everyone! Back in the days when bands were formed by people who wanted to make music, not focus groups. Oh, and they could actually write meaningful and reflective lyrics. "Some folks are born made to wave the flag, Ooh, they're red, white and blue. And when the band plays hail to the chief, Ooh, they point the cannon at you, lord," -Fortunate Son Can't see Britnyessicaiara singing that.....
Yes. At least they could write, play, and sing back then. Instead of the plastique fantastique, with their screechy disjointed noises of today. CCR was probably the best I ever saw in concert. (Argh! That was 38 years ago.) As good live, as in a studio. Funny they had their "southern" setting. They were from SF, CA. Think I'll plug in my Green Frog Chicago video again. It shows a bunch of commuter, plus other passenger stuff, from the 1960's. Scoots, Dinkys, and more. Boxcab E50
