I'll tell you why, I have 17 engines on the way tons of detailing parts and lights too. The engines include an AC4400CW UP, SD45 C&NW, SD40-2 SF, SD40 UP, GP35 UP, GP38-2 (2 SF AND 2 BN), 8-40B UP, SD60M BNSF, GP18 C&NW, SD7 UP, C44-9Ws (1 UP and 1 C&NW), SD9 C&NW and a RS2 UP. I know I'm not the only one that is this excited. Let hear it? verse
Yes HemiAdda2d they were all purchased off Ebay but some in separate auctions. The prices were incredible. verse
Yes it is, can't wait to have them all in my hands. I'll be off shortly to collect a number of them at the PO.
LOL !!! You know that the hardest thing to do.....well can I at least test run then wrap em up....LOL! All the very best my friend.
Ah yes. I remember the anticipation of a huge eBay haul when I won a lot of 10 Athearn locos plus a mixed assortment of freight cars. Enjoy your finds and happy holidays!
17? The backshop is gonna love you! Greetings Verse, 17 locos in one turn is a dream for many of us. I might have seen 2 at a time but that's the max. Each one is going to want its own share of attention and I'll know you'll be happy to give it to them. Congrats!
Thanks Larry. Thanks right I'll be more than happy to devote special attention to each one. This is a dream for me too actually, I guess hard work paid off. I really went hard at making some extra money through my illustrative skills and save a percentage towards buying these. By the end of November I was scoping the best/cheapest auctions on Ebay and the rest is history. If I had gone into the stores I probably wouldn't have been able to afford this many locos. I'll be leaving the island to go to Clear Water Florida to spend some vacation time with my Family and in-laws. Hopefully I get to visit a hobby shop. We don't have them in Jamaica so when I get go overseas that's like an event for me. verse
You're welcome Verse. I have ties to Trinidad and Domenica. Much of what you might want isn't located in those countries so a trip to Florida fills in the spaces. What do you do about the voltage in Jamaica? Is it the same as the U.S. or is it on the British standard?
