WHY DID'NT I HAVE MY CAMERA

    we went to go see a train befor and i just got back and it was snowing HEAVY
    and the first train we went to the gunlet bridge and there was good lighting
    there so he came with NS C40-8 8757 UP SD70M forgot the# NS DASH-9 forgot the#
    that was northbound NS train 413.this is northbound NS train 13T NS ES40DC 7616
    NS SD60 forget the# UP SD60M (i think the first UP SD60M i ever saw in real life)
    forget the# then we saw 413 again in mosic after 13T Southbound NS 930 NS SD70M
    forget the# NS DASH-9 9856 NS SD60 forget the# NS DASH-9 forget the# in taylor yard with 82,000 tons he took the hill from taylor to the gunlut slowly
    we saw NS 930 again in yatesville meeting NS 931 with the suprise we drove past the
    Northbound NS 931 NS Operation lifesaver DASH-9 forget the# another NS operation lifesaver forget the# CNW DASH-9 operation lifesaver i forget the# UP AC6000CW
    7310 that was MY best night of railfaning in 2007 i was wishing that i had my video camera and the still camera we saw him come off of the yatesville siding poor conducter had to walk the train twice first at the south end of the yatedville siding to close the switch and again to open and close the switch of the north end of the yatesville siding it was 26 degrese and snowing hard but the condicter was young mabie 23 so he should be OK it would of been a good shot because the lights you were ableto see the beam of it:tb-sad::tb-mad::tb-shocked::(

    This situation has probably happened to all of us. The time you don't bring a camera, is usually when you spot something quite interesting. So, always take a camera along. Just in case... :eek:

    Well, there's a big difference between bringing the camera and actually having it out...

    A couple months ago, I saw new Southern Belle KCSdeM on NS 309 two nights in a row and didn't have the camera out either time!

    i brought the camera to the train shoppe just in case we herd something on the scanner now i am not going to miss a trick
    we saw a BNSF DASH-9 too fast to catch the number down in nanticoke they still bounce over that crossing and a flat spot in a hoppers wheel almost opend up a crack to the earths core the train had a conrail SD60M and a Conrail dash-8 both very clean i got it on videobrfor the snow

    What do you do when you go rail fanning in the country side in the snow and there are no trains?:worried::no::unhappy:Then take along the non-train fan wife and see no trains "Explain to me why we are are out here"

    Or worse- Turn on your camera. All seems well, time to trip the shutter... And the batteries are too low! WAH! :(

    Been there... done that.

    Answer (at least my answer) was to buy her a new house... NEXT TO THE TRACKS so I can railfan from the livingroom. :D

    Now I can watch trains all day.... with the 6 year old.... while the wife is in her sewingroom.

    my camcorder baterie went dead wale i was filming NS 8890 the onr in ho scale and all of a sudden beeep and the screen went black i had one of my signature hissy fits
