I see it at least once a month,I ordered from Homer's train emporium I'm not happy or I'm pleased as punch with his service only to hear the same comments this thread will soon turn into a bashing or praising of certain E-tailers and we are locking this thread due to possible legal action or one complaint hurting said e-tailers livilyhood. So why not use the same filters that are in place to blank out nasty words such as ¤¤¤¤,¤¤¤¤, ¤¤¤¤..hey!!! the filter did it's job!!!! Just add the e-tailers name to that list and you have no more worries. Your not adding manufactures names to the list just E-Tailers. Hey I just bought from ¤¤¤¤'s trains and they suck!! has anyone else had the same bad experiance? Why not nip it in the bud before the thread gets started?

I regrettabley started such a thread yesterday and I am glad is was locked since the outcome what not what I intended. I should have used my own discretion in naming the supplier, but sadly I did not and therefore it resulted in possible inintended consequences. Once again my apologies to them.

However, I don't think filters are the answer because there are some places or sellers (ebay) that the public SHOULD/NEED be warned against using. If a forum of this nature can either prevent someone from getting duped or improve the customer service of such a business then so-be-it.

Unfortunatly, it is hard to remove the emotion when such a thread evolves over time, but it is something the poster needs to do in order to provide accurate information to his/her fellow trainboard members.

I don't think filtering business names is the best idea. Every once and a while we get outstanding customer satisfaction stories meant to highlight outstanding service. That can't be done if all we see is *****. Not to mention, if someone wants to bash a company, they'll go out of their way to side step the filter.

It's not the stores name that does the harm. It's people who ignore posting rules and reply malicious statements anyway.

What kind of mentality will we wind down to if we start filtering content such as retailer names? New members to the thread will not know of the filter and thus think we have nothing but die hard foul mouthed members. If it's retailers names today, tomorrow it's manufacturers to protect against any possible legal action, and next week it's even gone to railroad names to protect against any possible legal action. Sooner or later *** *** and ******** it ******** in ******** ********* ************. **** ****** ** ********* to ****.
