I rewheeled about 10 cars the other day, all with metal wheel sets. Now, these all came out of the same bag, but the wierdest thing happens with ONE car..... If I roll a train over my Kadee delayed uncoupler magnet, all goes well till it gets to that car.... then whack...train stops (and the loco accordians all the cars....spectacular even at slow speed). I replaced the sheels in that truck and the problem went away. Put those same wheels into another car and it didnt happen. Put the wheels out of that other car into the offending one, and whack...stops again. Whats with this?

One thing I noticed... The wheel put into that car had 'acquired' a little magnetic memory from smacking the uncoupler magnet so often.... Bang em with a pair of plyers and the magnetism was gone... Doesnt matter which wheels I use though, that uncoupler magnet jumps up and stops THAT car every time.

Hey, if you are using HO wheels on an N scale train and that is the only problem you encounter, then you ought to be thankful!! :D :D :D
