Winchester and Western

Just a few of my WW shots. The 120 is a MT4 riding on SW1500 trucks and has a SW1500 cab on it. She is now used on mine runs between Gore, and Winchester.









The WW has bought the ESHR 8066, and she was sitting at the Shops in Gore, Va when I was there.

Nope. Both slugs came straight from CR.

the #10 has no trucks and is up on blocks

 

I sure do like those 2 bay covered hoppers. Looks like a special run covered hopper coming up!

That's just this end of the line. the WW also has operations in NJ, which I am very unformiliar with

That's a neat look at the W&W's roster. I was in Gore in July 2003 and the #10 was truckless then too. I didn't see the 120 but wish I had.

My first encounter with the W&W was in Gore in 1991. They had some neat Alco power sitting around back then.

Pentrex did a video about the W&W sometime in the mid 90's. It was a very good look at the line.

NJ = New Jersey

 

the WW just put the cab on the 120 in the summer of 2005. The used to have RS11's, a S6, and a RS3.

 

ESHR is Eastern Shore, the 8066 was bought by the WW and they are now using it.

I loved the Eastern Shore RR. I have photos of some of their equipment that I took in the 90's up at Cape Charles. (Maybe I can dig them up and start a new topic)
