I have some Life-Like locos that I want to strip and paint. Is there a safe way to remove the glued in windows?
I use 91% Isopropyl Alcohol to strip the paint. Would that harm the windows if I can't get them out?

For sure it would not clear the glue.

Is there a lot of clear plastic behind the cad side? Or is the window pretty much an exact fit for the frame? Here is a photo of how the Bachmann SD40-2 windows are: image.jpg
You can pretty much pry them off. The glue is not really around the actual window, so any damage that might occur will not be visible from the outside. It is easier to paint without windows, so try to get them out any way you can.

Thank you for the help. I got them out with some prying and poking.
