The main Station and it's buildings have been torn down. Today we step forward with a brand new up to code building. With the right contractors in hand, the station moves forward! So my Rosenbach kit showed up today. Brand New In Box. I went out to pick out the paint. The roof and the building sides will remain the stock Piko Color, as will the benches. The Windows will stay Piko's stock color, but the foundation pieces (Window Frames, building sides etc) will be painted PollyScale D&RGW Brown and the Gutters, shutters and other "green" painted pieces are being painted PollyScale Vermont Green. This is the color scheme that will be repeated for the switch tower if I ever get around to picking it up. But for now is the preview of the project. All pieces are off the sprues and are assembled by painting colors. Tomorrow begins the long day task of painting these pieces. So much went wrong and for the right reasons. I won't be settling for used kits anymore. It's time to build this station back up to code. This really is a nice, pre-weather resistant piece. A+ Work Piko, and it's made in Germany too.
