Happy Holida..... You know what.... Screw it. MERRY CHRISTMAS :) I've wanted to say that for a long time. Today's the train show. I'm excited. Several Pieces of news, but for now A slight problem with our indoor layout.

To guide you into the news, many of you may or may not know that my Chow Mix whom I've had since 8th grade passed away in September. She had cancer and before we could put her down, she crawled in my lap, closed her eyes and died. I'm not ashamed to admit I cried. In fact typing this still brings a tear to my eye. I did some searching around to find another furry companion to help me through my pain and came across this Siberian Husky. Kita. She was from a shelter, seized from unfit living conditions, was on a Tie-out for 3 years and was an hour from being euthanized. I got her the week of Thanksgiving. She's untrained. So during thanksgiving I was tinkering with my track and as usual Kita was with me. But she wasn't housebroken and she likes to be with me so she went on my siding track. All ruined. The 2 LGB Short Pieces and an aristocraft curve. Both the short pieces were isolated by the seller. It's okay they can't be used, because I really wanted one short piece. The AC Curve was going to go anyways. Now all 3 track pieces are cleaned as best I could, and back in place temporarily. The spare rails I had sitting as decoration are all ruined. I had to throw them out. Now most dog owners who had their model train peed on would be furious. She's untrained and was about to be put down, I'm not mad. Really I'm not. She's been since house trained.

I also just put the christmas tree up, and can't take pictures as I've lost the digital camera. I'll find it soon. But the tree skirt is being washed atm. I figured out how to rig the tree around the siding, but until the tree skirt is down, I haven't begun to plan yet.

New news on the horizon involving a pharmasutical company and my Class Action Lawsuit. 158,690 Dollars. 5 Grand is being reserved for several things: RLD's Custom Run Hoppers Great Northern Red (My hobby shop friend says he's held onto my 4 car set for me because he knew I was waiting for the pay out. Thanks Kacey. You're my bro man.) and my RLD Hobbies Custom Run Burlington Northern GP-40. The Alco FA-1 is getting her hockey stick stripe and will be painted by my friends at L&B Hobbies. Both Units will get their sound units, and the Train Engineer Revolution is going to be in my home. I'm also adding a Bridgewerks power supply to the reciever unit. All my switch track will go electric, and the garden railroad construction will begin next spring. It's being modified for Kita. about 5 feet up the ground. Also a new wooden fence for Kita will also be added.

And as an added bonus, if/when I find those 2 USA Trains boxcars for you, EMD, I'll buy 'em and send them to you absolutely free. It's my way of saying thank you to you. But first the money has to come in.

One final note before the train show, When my Garden Railroad is up and running I'll invite you all to come for a summer visit and run on an open house with me. My First Open House will be for Trainboard.com Members only. Because out of all the G-Scale/Train forums, you all have been the most kind and helpful and patient with a newbie like me.

DragonFyreGT, thanx for the nice gestures, you really don't have to give me anything. I like to help out people and don't mind investing in hours of research if it helps out future hobbist. Sorry to hear about your dog, they can can attaching and you even think of them as your kid. just like you I'm actually considering a shelter dog.

I remembered when me sister left her cat here which is suppose to be train back when I bought the house in 1997 because she had no where to put it when she had to move out. It also ruined alot of track, animal urine is like instant acid on brass track. I made her come get the cat and find some other place for it, but thats another story.

I'm glad to hear things progressing in court, usually law suits like this take 10 to 15 years to finally pay out, especially fighting a big corporation. I hate to say this in this fashion, but big corporations drag it out in court purposely hoping you pass away before they have to pay you anything, it's sad.

I also say Merry Christmas, too many people in this country tring to make things politicaly correct and in the mean time screw up the entire country. The kids have to say happy holidays in school, it was always Merry Christmas in school when I grew up.

I also ordered 3 USA 70 Ton Burling ton Northern Hopper cars and can't wait to get them, this will bring my coal train to 15 hopper cars.

    Merry Christmas to you

Another show come and gone. Several LGB Dealers. The Dealer who had my Rio Grande Boxcars sold them so no go there. I found a Great Northern Boxcar, the Green Empire Builder one, but at 60 the guy wouldn't haggle down to 30. But he did haggle an LGB Electric Right Hand Switch from 47 to 30. It had it's box, paperwork, and an old Marshall Fields price tag on. For those who don't know, Marshall Fields was taken over by Macy's. It was a huge turnout at the show this week. My Aristocraft guys have the GP40 order ready to submit once the money comes in. Still looking for the tender.

This is going to be a small update for xmas, but well worth it. January is when my payoff comes. So next year will bring in Phase 3 to the Wolfcreek & Iron Mountain. Also I plan to move next year so design plans and track laying will be temporary so I can pack up and go. As soon as I find my digital camera, pictures of the siding track in progress will be posted. So Until the next update, See you Next Year~

Glad to hear your dog is doing well. You're right, there's no sense in getting angry about it. Just remember that your dog peed there and if another dog comes to visit, they will probably do the same in that spot. So you might not want to let any other dogs over.

Does she chase the trains around? I had a cat that did that. Key word being HAD. No, just kidding. I think she was eaten by a fox or some other type of wildlife. I miss her.

No she yips and "talks" to them like a wolf, and sniffs them. I haven't run them around her but a few times for test laps. She's gotten better at going outside now. Just this afternoon she was nosing the track while I'm trying to install a switch track. I was like "May I help you dear?" And she yipped at me like "I waz just helping!" xD She's an adventure. Next year I'm going to write a book about it. "Husky Proofing your Garden Railway." :D

EDIT: PICTURES ZOMG!!!! Ya I found the camera.... In the backseat of my car.

First up is how the yard traffic temporarily looks:

Now without the traffic you can see the new switch and first stage storage track work:

A good shot of my European E-Lok shunting the crane in place to begin work on the track line:

Tree skirt not up, but here's what I have to deal with. Merry Christmas!

First Project for 2010!!!! I was at the goodwill shopping for my baby cousin(my girlfriends) Xao and happened to look down and found an AMT/Ertl 1:25 Unopened 1994 Dodge Stealth R/T. All parts there. So now I've selected my paint, Black interior and Blue exterior, I'm going to airbrush the parts then assemble them as my first "Car" that fits my theme. Progress Pictures will be shown at a later date and thread.
