Another Train Show has come and gone. Aristocraft is being lazy in shipping my Etched metal grills out and L&B Model Trains hasn't found my tender yet. But there is a second dealer I go to. He's an LGB Carrier and is a really nice guy. Sold me that signal, the manual one, in November for 5 bucks. In December he forgot his box of figures and told me that in January he'd bring it with. He kept his word.

So I bought 2 figures. One is a moveable arm with a flashlight, american style painting. I had this figure with my LGB Starter set but the arm broke and the figure got lost. I replaced it. And I also bought a sitting old woman for my waiting platform, although I'm out of glue so I put the figure on my waiting bench. 4 Bucks total, 2 bucks apiece. Next was something I've always wanted. LGB's Station Platform set. 2 sets for 20 bucks. I asked if he'd knock 5 bucks off and he did so I paid 20 bucks.

Wolfcreek is your average small town with a railroad running through it. Even though in my world, Burlington Northern, a massive Class 1 Carrier, owns it, Wolfcreek is pretty small. Therefore the station is the main focal point. And this platform kit helps reinforce it. Now all I need is my Nuestadt Walkway to go over both tracks and my Aristocraft Signal Bridge. The Luggage shack, which was built wrong, is being dismantled. Even though I cut my finger with a utility knife (I use armored tactical airsoft gloves, full fingered for these projects, the knife slipped and missed my armored plastic :tb-mad:) I got the pieces off correctly. When I bought my station set, the guy gave me the instruction manuals for it. So I'm doing some sanding work and going to rebuild this shack properly. I'm going to get vinyl sheets and print my own logos out and put them on styrene backing.

Still working on the floors here, drilling starts this week and I'm going to put the plywood down myself. Then the layout will be rebuilt. These pictures are my layout set up out of sheer boredom. I had to have a train running, it was driving me nuts w/o it. I'm going to use styrene sheets to make piko's baseplates match the LGB Platforms. The luggage depot not pictured as it's in pieces, so without further adue, Temporary Wolfcreek & Iron Mountain~

EDIT: I finished painting my Yellow warning stripes on the platform, I'm still terrible at painting but I think it came out pretty good!

Glad to see you are trying to recover from your flood and will soon be up and running.
