Also doesn't look good if a potential advertisers comes to the site and sees a bunch of negative comments about their brand.

The potential advertisers should seize the opportunity to demonstrate to potential customers how they would satisfactorily resolve those issues that previous customers might have experienced with products from a given brand.

    There’s a model railroading mafia?

Vito: “So, MK, you have a really nice train layout here. Would be a real shame if something were to ‘happen to it,’ you know?”

This site has been running publicly for just a month shy of 24 years now. (For longer than that, when also considering our testing and setup period.) One of, if not the oldest RR hobby BBS formats existing. Everything we do is based on long, long years of experience. Which involves a lot that you folks will never know about, behind the scenes. Including this particular instance.

If I recall correctly, the location for that scene was TrainLand in Lynbrook, Long Island. I was there at least once, well before The Sopranos was even an idea. They had quite a lot of stuff! Most of it not N Scale, but I still appreciated their selection.

Just so you know, I have a Blue Comet too, but it's smaller and I didn't get whacked* after I bought it.

*Oops, I think I should have done a Spoiler Alert there.

Not a spoiler for me. I didn't watch the series but I've seen a few of the clips on YouTube including the one where he got whacked.

The scene was shot at Trainland in Lynbrook. I grew up on Long Island and later lived in Poughkeepsie so I was able to shop at Trainland many times over the years. I've never been to sister store Trainworld in Brooklyn and since I now live in Florida I doubt I'll ever get there.

For what it's worth my wife and I binge watched the whole Sopranos series on HBO MAX (now MAX) 2 or 3 years ago. It's quite good IF you like gangster movies/shows but the series finale was rather disappointing.

    Joe, Don't Stop Belie...

    ...oh, never mind.

    :ROFLMAO:

Didn't have HBO so didn't watch, despite being from "Joisey"...

But I did get the DVD Box Set of Kate and Allie, just released! I don't think there are any model trains of any kind in six seasons...

There is another Sopranos episode where in a scene set in Bobby Baccalieri's garage, viewers get to see his extensive home setup of Lionel trains.

He found a good home, on the right side of the law this time, in Blue Bloods. The actor, anyway...
