    Africa: Mott MacDonald is to study implementation and finance options for the Cotonou – Niamey – Ouagadougou – Abidjan project under an African Union Commission contract (RG 6.11 p30). China: Tagmaster, Richor and FTRD are to trial an RFID tag system providing onboard warnings of temporary speed restrictions. Denmark: Banedanmark has awarded Ramboll a contract for consultancy on the 3·5 km Frugtmarkedet – Vigerslev section of the new København – Ringsted line. Europe: TRT Trasporti e Territorio has a €107500 contract to provide the European Parliament’s Transport Tourism committee with information on current air-rail integration schemes, with recommendations for policy options. Peru: Pöyry has been awarded a €6·4m design review and supervision contract for the 12·4 km second phase of Lima metro Line 1. South Africa: RailComm and ERB Technologies are to install a yard automation system at Kumba Iron Ore’s Sishen South mine. USA: Bombardier is to maintain the 8 km Skylink Innovia people-mover at Dallas/Fort Worth airport under a $165m 10-year contract.
