Hmmmm, after having a quick look at the background - as well as the distribution - I'd say it is déjà vu just like the Okanagan. :eyeroll:  OTOH Sandro built a mighty fine interpretation of "Small Town Canada", could be anywhere in the foothills close to the mountains. Similar to the vistas I shot at Didsbury, AB last summer waiting for the CP trains to roll by.
NO... I would not want to live there... but... Sandro you have done a wonder job with your town. I have no reason to 'dislike' in your town... and it looks like a nice place to live in... but I'd rather have beaches and warm sun most of the year. I wouldn't mind taking a vacation in your town... just to visit...
Sign me up. The more mountains tunnels and trestles, the better. As long as I don't have to shovel the snow! I know it's the wrong continent, but your town needs a Gelato place.
Here's a video for you Sandro - Thompson Canyon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrSJwoD3dls&feature=related
I don't want to live there. The first time I would want to stretch out to take a nap, I would wipe out several blocks of town. Fine work, though.

The Fraser Thompson I don't have to tell you is one of Canada's premier rail fanning areas. My son and I (he was a moderator here - BCRailking) used to camp by the black bridge at the Cisco Bridges and stay there for 2 -3 days at a time just to see the action. Its something to see the Via go through the Cisco Bridge area all lit up, that should be your next rail fan video, wait till summer. I like your videos, the area is great and they bring back great memories for me. Dane and I used to eat at the restaurant in Boston Bar (CP side) which was right beside the tracks. The restaurant was primarily for crew's but it was open to the public; it lasted until the staff decided they wanted to unionise the restaurant - CP just closed it to avoid more expenses, this was a number of years back. I see you live close to Vernon and Kelwona so your are close enough for day trips. And do you bring your products to the show in Vancouver at the Cameron centre in November and March? Going to be their this March? Here's one that has been on the net a lot, I'm sure you've seen it - steam in the Canyon. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saPTTRM4VeE
Yeah, steam in the Canyons was on the list last summer ... and then 2816 had an "ouchy" out in Van and the eastbound community train was diesel powered. That was a big surprise at the junction of #7 and #1 across the river from Hope. :curse: :curse: Ah well, that's the way the cooky crumbles. There's another summer coming up and the plan is to get the beast on one of the AB excursions i.e. in Lethbridge on the viaduct. AND if there's another trip to Van, pick it up at Banff and follow it. At least that's the plan. :eyeroll:
