On the topic "mobile crane" by Paul Templar a few days ago, a Tenshodo motor bogie was mentioned as being used to power it. I recently completed a Y1 - (or is it a Y3?) 0-4-0 Sentinel vertical boilered shunting loco for a friend. I did not build or paint it, just fitted the power bogie. A quick and easy way to power this little locomotive.
The axle spacing does not quite line up with the (dummy) exleboxes/drive rods, but it is not noticable in use.
